Ode to Rain

falling fast from the sky
never again will i be dry
if all this water falls on me
instead of watering all the trees
then what will happen to the trees?
they'll start to leave
and go to the sea
and float away
on holiday

Ode to Blue-Trouser Man

Everyday I see you
Cycling so fast
Down the river taff

You're like a blurr
Peddling away
Down the river taff

You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he rides
You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he flies

Try as I might
I can never keep up
You cycle so fast

Peddling away
Wheels spinning around
You cycle so fast

You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he rides
You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he flies

One day I shall
Be as fast as you
Maybe in my dreams

If I could just
Own such blue trousers
Maybe in my dreams

You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he rides
You're the Blue Trouser Man
See how he flies

Ode to the toilet (by Vickrum)

This ode was composed on the 22nd March 2007 by my dear housemate Vickrum. Enjoy. Please note: names have been changed for confidentiality.

Ode to the Toilet

The toilet is our friend
it carries out waste away around it's U bend
but alas it is leaking
possibly because Sheila is a weirdling
who likes to flush seven times in a row
just to make sure all the stuff will go
so now it is dripping
but luckily not into the kitchen
what shall we do?
what will happen next time we need to poo?

Where it all began (possibly...)

Welcome to Odes 'R' Us, the blog that gives you ode upon ode about life in general. The reason? Work. And it's complete dullness. So, please, sit back, read and enjoy!

The first ode (although it may be 'ode to metro man' but due to technical difficulties it seems to have vanished, but it shall be published upon here soon, do not fear readers)

Ode to The Scanner

oh scanner oh scanner
why aren't you like a spanner?
so shiny and smooth
unstuck in a groove
Just stop working so i can go home early.
The end.
